MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES 2024-2025
The following DFSC types of membership*/fees are available for those joining between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025. Home Club Gold, Home Club Gold Family, and New Home Club Memberships must fulfill volunteer and fundraising requirements.
- Home Club Gold Membership – $185.00
- Skater required to contract one session per month (based on USFS Freestyle test level).
- Voting privileges
- Volunteering – Up to 21 Hours Annually
- (minimum 20 hours – Northland, 1 hour – Ice Show)
- Fundraising requirement – 10 units
- Home Club Gold Family Membership – $210.00
- up to two members (Add $20 for each member over and above two)
- Voting privileges
- Volunteering – Up to 28 Hours Annually
- (minimum 28 hours – Northland, 2 hours – Ice Show)
- Fundraising requirement – 10 units per skater
- Home Club Gold New Membership – $100.00
- Skater required to contract one session per month (based on USFS Freestyle test level).
- Voting privilages
- Volunteering – 8 hours annually (Northland Competition)
- No fundraising requirement, but recommended
*Contact Jamie Nelson if requesting a “New Membership Family” Membership* - NOTE: Members who join the club between February 1st and June 30th of each year will remain as new members at the time of renewal and will follow all new member requirements for the next year.
- Associate Individual Membership – $140.00
- Must be a home club member of another USFSA sanctioned skating club or individual member of USFSA.
- No voting privileges
- No volunteer or fundraising requirement
- Associate Family Membership – $175.00
- Must be a home club member of another USFSA sanctioned skating club or individual member of USFSA
- up to two members (Add $20 for each member over and above two)
- No voting privileges
- No volunteer or fundraising requirement
- Collegiate – $250.00
- Valid for 4 consecutive years.
- Skater MUST be enrolled in a post-secondary school at time of registration
- No voting privileges
- No volunteer or fundraising requirement
- Home Club – Virginia- $140
- Open to skaters who seek home club membership & skate primarily in the Virginia area
- No voting privileges
- No volunteer or fundraising requirement
- Home Club – Virginia Family Membership – $175
- Open to skaters who seek home club membership & skate primarily in the Virginia area

Adult Skaters & Skaters turning 18 within membership year:
All participants ages 18 years of age or older are required to complete a US Figure Skating background check and complete Safesport Core Training, and/or subsequent refresher courses provided by the U.S. Center for Safesport. Participants who are 17 must complete a U.S. Figure Skating background check within 45 days of turning 18. Participants are responsible for the cost of background checks.
