Academy & Learn to Skaters, Register to be part of the Ice Show!

Here are the details:

  • The ice show will be held Sunday, April 2nd at 2:00 PM.
  • Dress rehearsal will be held Saturday, April 1st
  • The show will include groups and soloists from the Duluth Figure Skating Club.

Registration: The registration form for the 2023 spring ice show is attached. Registrations are due by January 29. Groups for the ice show will be based on the level the skater is presently working on during the winter session. Please pay special attention to this. This will be the group that they will be with for the show. The skaters will not be able to change their level after they pass another test. Some DFSC Academy members will join learn-to-skate groups. DFSC coaches will make recommendations as to which groups they should be placed in.

Cost: The cost is $125 for the first skater and $105 for each additional skater in the family until January 29, 2023. This is for costume, additional instructor time, ice time, 2 tickets to the show, and streaming of the show access. Please use pay at duluthfsc.org. People who would like to pay in installments may pay $50 now and the remainder before the first practice. Late entries are based on costume availability and will have a $10 late fee.

If you are part of Learn to Skate we recommend signing your child(ren) up ASAP.

You will need to enter your skater’s measurements when signing up. If you do not know your measurements or are not sure how to take them, you can leave that field blank, but you MUST connect with either the Show Director, Heather at 218-213-3860 or heather_seyfer@hotmail.com; Board Member, Lea at 218-343-3417; or Angie the Learn to Skate Director to get your measurements. Club Members’ Information 

Participants: The cost is $125 and $105 for each additional family member. There will be one show this year. This fee includes the costume, ice time, coaching, 2 tickets to the show, and streaming access. People who would like to pay in installments may pay $50 now and the remainder before the first practice and pay by using our website. The groups will be determined according to test level. Each level will have a group and small groups will be combined. If it becomes necessary to separate a large group into smaller groups, it will be done according to age plus skating ability and will be determined by the ice show director and coaches. Academy members will be placed in a club or learn-to-skate group based on coach recommendations based on the above criteria. There will be a $10 late fee for any applications received after the costumes are ordered. There will be a $10 re-ordering fee for costumes that do not fit.

Tickets for the Shows

Ice Show tickets will be on sale at the door. Want to pick them up early? You can get them during rehearsals and lessons prior to the show. Or During Learn to Skate at the Learn to Skate table on Saturdays from 9 AM – 11 AM at Mars Arena.
