2020 Practice information
Academy & Learn to Skaters, Want to be part of the Ice Show? Here are the details:
- The ice show will be held at show at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
- There will be a dress rehearsal Friday March 27th.
- The show will include groups and soloists from the Duluth Figure Skating Club.
Registration: The registration form for the 2020 spring ice show is attached. Registrations are due by January 13 to receive discounts on costumes and to ensure early arrival of costumes for the pictures. Groups for the ice show will be based on the level the skater is presently working on during the winter session. Please pay special attention to this. This will be the group that they will be with for the show. The skaters will not be able to change level after they pass another test. Some DFSC Academy members will join learn to skate groups. DFSC coaches will make recommendations to which groups they should be placed in.
Cost: The cost is $95 . This is for costume, additional instructor time, ice time, and 2 tickets to the show. Checks should be written out to the DFSC or Pay Online below. People who would like to pay in installments by check may pay $55 now and $40 before the first practice. Late entries are based on costume availability.
If you are part of Learn to Skate we recommend signing your child(ren) up as soon as possible.
You will need to enter your skater’s measurements when signing up. Club Members’ Information “Hooray For Hollywood”
Participants: All home club members are encouraged to participate. The cost is $95. This fee includes the costume, ice time, coaching and 2 tickets to the show. People who would like to pay in installments may pay $55 now and $40 before the first practice and pay by check or pay pal on our website. The groups will be determined according to test level. Each level will have a group and small groups will be combined. If it becomes necessary to separate a large group into smaller groups, it will be done according to age and skating ability and will be determined by the ice show director and coaches. Academy members will be placed in club or learn to skate groups based on coach recommendation based on the above criteria. There will be a $10 late fee for any applications received after the costumes are ordered. There will be a $10 re-ordering fee for costumes that do not fit.

Tickets for the Shows
Ice Show tickets will be on sale at the door for both shows. Want to pick them up early? You can get them during rehearsals and lessons prior to the show. Or During Learn to Skate at the Learn to Skate table on Saturdays from 9 AM – 11 AM at Mars Arena.
