The Duluth Figure Skating Club has been teaching kids and adults to skate since 1926. Our skaters have performed on nearly every continent missing only Antarctica and given the chance that sheet of ice would be nothing but a stage to us. Duluth’s club has poured the love of figure skating into our athletes and they have taken that love and performed with Disney on Ice, the American Ice Theater, etc. We are so proud of our athletes.
Today, the club is asking for community sponsors to keep ice costs down. As the ice cost increases families are strapped. The club is stuck between either purchasing less ice time and not serving all of our 100+ skaters or buying enough ice time for the number of skaters and the costs per skater rising substantially. We want the ice open for everyone and for this reason, we are looking for partners to help pay for ice time and welcome more kids to the rink and continue the tradition that started nearly 100 years ago.
